What we like

The AI design-system linting is the most original feature in the product — an automated reviewer that catches the drift every design system suffers, which even Figma doesn't do natively. The magic box that generates new components consistent with your file's visual language works surprisingly well for standard patterns. And because the interface mirrors Figma's conventions, a designer is productive within the hour.

Where it falls short

Figma's moat was never just the canvas — it's thousands of plugins, community files, templates, and the fact that every hire already knows it. Motiff has none of that gravity yet. AI generation handles conventional screens well but wobbles on complex or novel layouts. And some enterprise buyers will pause on data residency and vendor questions given its ownership, fairly or not.
