Where it falls short

RPA's original sin persists: bots automate interfaces, and interfaces change. A vendor's UI update can silently break a production automation, so mature deployments carry permanent maintenance overhead. Licensing is expensive and famously intricate — robot types, orchestration, and add-ons stack into six-figure annual bills at scale, and ROI cases need honest accounting of upkeep. Casual users will find the learning curve steep compared to Zapier-class tools.
